FÒCO X Milan Design Week 2026

For this edition, the project centers on the primal element of fire, reimagined not as a static flame, but as a flow of energy in constant transformation.
The installation acts as a living organism that responds directly to the presence of the visitor. At its core lies a physical sphere, a minimalist "vessel" for potential energy.

The project was developed using TouchDesigner, featuring fully procedural real-time visuals. A custom control interface was built to manage visual parameters live. The interactive hardware system is powered by an Arduino microcontroller paired with a capacitive sensor wired to a metallic sphere; upon contact, the sensor detects capacitance changes and transmits the data to TouchDesigner via the OSC (Open Sound Control) protocol to drive the visual response dynamically.
